I guess I just need some practice. To get out there (off the internet dating sites...and out of my small circle of friends) and to meet some new people. And to practice my first date skills. :)
So my friends and I have created this project: 40 First Dates. To see who is out there and still single, to date a wide spectrum of people, and to possibly (at least!) make some new friends.
Here's what we have in mind right now:
- Post a Craig's List ad, asking for "volunteers". Like a personal ad, but with the added bonus of being part of a social experiment.
- Go on dates
- Blog about it

By the way, I have a good friend whose 3yo daughter calls me "Nunna" as a nickname. It's because when I call the house and my friends husband answers and says, "Who's this?" I always say, "Nunna your business." He yells, "Nunna's on the phone." And so it stuck.
Whatever.
